Cancellation & Refund Policy for School Alternative
1. Scope of Services
School Alternative is a private education consultancy firm providing advisory services related to overseas education, university applications, and visa processing assistance. We are not affiliated with any government authority, embassy, or immigration department.
2. Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to School Alternative.
If a client requests cancellation before service initiation, the management may review eligibility for a partial refund at its sole discretion.
Once the registration process has begun and advisory services have been initiated, the service fee becomes non-refundable.
The service fee is non-transferable to another person, country, or service once the process has started.
3. Refund Policy for Overseas Education Services
The following refund conditions apply to services selected by the student.
3.1 Service Fee Refund Conditions
The service fee paid to School Alternative is generally non-refundable once the application process has started, including but not limited to the following situations:
Failure to pass required medical examinations.
Failure to provide a valid Police Clearance Certificate (not older than 3 months).
Inability to demonstrate sufficient settlement funds as required by immigration authorities.
Late submission of additional documents requested by the consulate or embassy.
Failure to attend a visa interview if requested.
Failure to achieve the required score in language proficiency tests (e.g., IELTS, PTE, or equivalent).
Failure to submit required documents within 30 days of registration.
Submission of fraudulent or falsified documents.
Prior violation of immigration or visa laws by the applicant or any included family members.
Withdrawal from the process by the student.
Switching to another country or service after registration.
However, if School Alternative is unable to provide the agreed advisory service due to internal operational reasons, refund eligibility may be reviewed by management.
4. Refund Processing Timeline (Mandatory Clause)
If any refund is approved by School Alternative (where applicable), the amount will be processed within 7–10 working days from the date of written approval.
Refunds will be made through the original mode of payment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Additional Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are payable to third parties and are strictly non-refundable:
University/College application fees
Tuition fees or security deposits
Courier charges
Document attestation or notarization fees
Visa application fees
Language test fees (e.g., IELTS, PTE)
Police clearance certificate fees
Medical examination fees
Landing fees or other immigration-related costs
6. Client Responsibilities
All required documents must be submitted within 30 days of registration.
The client must attend all required interviews at their own expense.
The client must notify School Alternative of any changes in personal details (address, marital status, employment, etc.).
The client and dependents must achieve required language test scores as specified by visa authorities.
Failure to comply with the above may result in termination of service without refund.
7. Confidentiality
School Alternative maintains strict confidentiality of client information and uses it solely for the purpose of providing agreed advisory services.
8. No Guarantee Policy
School Alternative does not guarantee visa approval, job placement, admission confirmation, or permanent residency. Final decisions rest solely with the respective immigration authorities and institutions.
9. Legal Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the applicable laws of Bangladesh. Legal jurisdiction shall lie within the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
10. Acceptance of Terms
By registering with School Alternative and making payment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
